We moved into a place with a south facing lawn but forgot to garden. The result is a mess of strawberries, rhubarb, flowers, and mystery weeds. If it’s not going to look pretty, at least it tastes great.

Keep close to Nature’s heart…and break clear away, once in awhile,
and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.

Looking forward to sharing a bunch of beautiful weddings, new projects, and features around the web soon!
Hello from Thailand! As some of you may know, we’re currently in the transition of moving up to Portland, Oregon from our home of the last two years in Southern California. That means the business will be located primarily in the Pacific Northwest, but with frequent trips to Southern California to shoot our existing (and new!) clients. Before we made the drive north, we decided to throw our stuff in storage, drop the pup off with the parents, and head out of the country for a bit. For the month of January we’ll be exploring Thailand, eating amazing local food, sleeping on trains, riding motorbikes through the northern countryside, exploring caves, helping take care of elephants, soaking up the sunshine on beaches, and immersing ourselves in a beautiful, warmth filled culture. I was here for a short trip in 2005, and it’s so good to be back and explore more of a country I love.
We’ll have limited access to internet but I’ll continue to check emails and would love to hear from you. You can also follow along our adventures by checking back here, through our twitter page, or on instagram where I’ll frequently be putting up snapshots of our travels.
I hope you all have a wonderful start to the new year! We’re so excited to bring new things to the table for 2013, good changes are coming and we can’t wait to share.
A shot from last nights wedding. I think it’s perfect how this image of the Big Dipper sitting over LA puts a city we’ve created back into perspective. I found this awhile back and have listened to it over and over. My gift isn’t words or science, but at least through images like this I’m able to express my awe at the beauty of it all.
A glimpse of Oregon. Floating on the river, early morning Stumptown coffee, exploring the Columbia River Gorge, homemade garden breakfasts, a visit to Hood River, perfect picnic dates, flights to and from, and soaking in the Portland sunshine. So glad to finally meet some of my favorite people in person, including the ladies at The Weaver House and one my oldest blogger friends, Hitched in the Hood. Can’t wait to go back to document more Pacific Northwest weddings.
To see a sneak peek of the wedding I shot there, you can head on over to the facebook page. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect Portland summer day and I can’t wait to share more!
