These two are getting hitched in October and I’m so excited to shoot their day. An evening full of ukulele tunes and adventuring around a beautiful spot, those kinds of days leave me with nothing to complain about. Top two images taken with a Duaflex II, revived from the dead.

I had such a good time shooting Amy and Josh’s engagement session, I loved coming back to the Paramount Ranch to explore. I’ve known Chrisie since we moved to Wrightwood and was super excited when she and her man asked me to photograph their wedding. We decided to take their engagement photos in the nearby area, starting out where he proposed and ending a few miles away in the golden desert. Familiar Faces in Beautiful Places

Our friends came to visit us this weekend on their road trip from Rhode Island back to Portland, Oregon, a place that used to be home for all of us. It did our hearts good to see each other again so I documented a little piece of it. Venice Beach

The last of the photos from our weekend. Since the four of us are involved with the same company, this was our chance to get out of Wrightwood, enjoy being 20º warmer, and have fun being total tourists. Hollywood, Fleet Foxes, Venice Beach. Not bad for a quick weekend get away. Thanks to A+D for letting me capture them on the West Coast.
